Quick Start

Get up and running with PrivStack in just a few minutes.

Your Workspace

After installation, PrivStack opens with your default workspace. The sidebar shows your active plugins — enable or disable them in Settings > Plugins to tailor the workspace to your needs.

Creating Items

  1. Click any plugin in the sidebar (or press Ctrl/Cmd + 1-9)
  2. Click New (or press Ctrl/Cmd + N)
  3. Start working — everything auto-saves and encrypts instantly

Each plugin handles item creation in its own way. Refer to the plugin’s built-in documentation for specifics.

One of PrivStack’s most powerful features is cross-linking across plugins:

  • In any rich text field, type [[ to search and link to items from any plugin
  • Links work across plugin boundaries — connect items from any plugin to any other
  • See all connections in the Graph view (Ctrl/Cmd + G)

Every plugin that supports linking participates automatically — including third-party plugins.

Use the Command Palette

Press Ctrl/Cmd + K to open the command palette. From here you can:

  • Search across all your content, spanning every active plugin
  • Navigate to any plugin
  • Run commands registered by any plugin
  • Change settings
